My wife Sherry and I are in the process of reading your book together. We’re enjoying it very much. I want to thank you for the great job you did in writing this account. Having spent considerable time running around this great state, we especially enjoy the accurate geographical descriptions you have included. The inclusion of the various dialogues between our founding statesmen, and also their experiences with people in their travels, makes them come alive for us. We were recently camping, and we swatted mosquitoes as we read about them engaging in the same battle. We felt as if we were there with them!
I’m a direct descendant of Dr. Houghton, (he is my third great-grandfather) and this makes the book especially enjoyable for us.
